What Started the History of the Sports Truck?
A Model A Racer pickup by Ford is what kicked it off. It even featured a convertible top and could tap out at forty five miles an hour. The model A Roadster pickup was only produced from 1928 to 1931. That was about it for sports trucks till 1978 when Dodge came up with the Li'l Red Express.
Only 2,188 were shipped in 1978 and 5,118 in 1979. Even though it only came in "Canyon Red" it might feature an array of custom accents. It appears that men have always loved their trucks. But today, even the ladies love their trucks. With family size back seats girls can have the room of the automobile but the carrying space of the truck. It is a win / win situation for everyone!
Why is the sports truck so popular?
Most folks who require a truck, still need to own a vehicle that looks sporty, and is exciting to drive. With the sports truck they have looks, fun, and function. Sports trucks are made for handling and performance driving. They sometimes have a lower suspension on them.
Most exotic sports truck aren't continuing to be made anymore. 2 of the ones that are stopped or doubtless going to stop are the Syclone and Gale . Both of those trucks could out performance even autos.

Beside the ones mentioned above we've got a possible new one which is a retro style remake of a prior truck. It is the El Camino. It's going to be coming from the Pontiac Australian Holden division. GM officers say it is highly likely to occur so long as the buck doesn't keep on dropping.
