Die-cast truck  models have existed just about so long as the trucks they were modeled after. Enhancements in industrial die-casting and metallurgy have given benefits to the die-cast toy auto industry since its beginnings in the early 20 th century. The purpose and promoting of the toys themselves has changed also. the collection of these die-cast vehicle reproductions remains a wide-ranging pursuit with ever growing appeal.

There's a silent pandemic going on and barely any one realizes it is occurring. Model trucks are slowly vanishing from acceptance and the sole folks to realize it are the modelers who build them. With the upward thrust of oil prices has come a rise in production costs for polystyrene models. It's not routinely spotted that petrol is tied into plastics producing. Gas costs shooting out the roof has moved the angst of subjects like this off most peoples's radar. The models appear to be slowly vanishing from the shelves and haven't been replaced. It appears that it could be a quiet death that will only mourned by certain people.

Everybody knows a Bulldog when they see it. The Bulldog has for a while been the symbol of the Mack truck. During World War I the company earned its nickname when the UK central authority purchased the Mack AC model so as to supply troops, food and equipment to its infantrymen on the trenches. Those UK soldiers named the truck the Bulldog Mack because of the flat nosed hood which reminded them of the Brit mascot which was the English Bulldog. Since that time the Bulldog has been a trucking industry favourite.
